Jump into this unique 6 part series – for local foodies, chefs, food trucks, caterers and more. We’ll help you set the table for success! Our guest culinary team will also be there to guide you into the next steps of business growth. This is a fun, yet intense deep dive into taking your culinary idea and or current business to the next level. The food industry is a team effort, and our business strategists and local community are going to be with you during the entire journey.
You will also be networking with the most prominent lenders in North Carolina that provide Access to Capital for food trucks, craft breweries, family-owned restaurants, and catering companies. It’s a team effort and we’ve got you! At the completion of this programming, you will have created a Business Plan, Financial Projections and a network of lenders and business professionals cheering you on to the next stage of growth for your business.

Week 1 (6:00PM-8:00PM): Risk Mitigation, Legal Structures and Decision Making to Protect Your
Business. (Virtual)

Week 2 (6:00PM-8:00PM): Strategic Planning and Learning How to Navigate the 9 Building Blocks for
Success (Virtual)

Week 3 (6:00PM-8:00PM): Financial Strategies and Finding Your Top Products that make $ and an impact on your Brand (Virtual)

Week 4 (6:00PM-8:00PM): Marketing & Branding the Right Way – Owning your Culinary Niche and finding
the right customers (Virtual)

Week 5 (6:00PM-8:00PM): Packaging and Presentation of Your BEST products – Culinary Lab)

Week 6 (6:00PM-8:00PM): Recipe Exploration and Competition with Local Guest Chefs – Culinary Lab)

Is there any cost to attend the program?

No. All workshops and courses are fully funded by our community partners.

Do I have to be Native American to attend Business of Farming in Indian Country?

Everyone is welcome.

Do I have to own land, have a farm or homestead to attend?

No. You can be in the dreaming stage, in the process of obtaining land or acquiring a farm, or operating a farm of any size.

Do I have to attend all the sessions to get a Certificate?

No. Students must attend 60% of the live sessions.

How do I get the information from a missed class?

Students who miss a class will receive a recording of the session.

If I need help with certain topics is there support for me?

Yes. We have a private Facebook group where instructors and students can discuss coursework, business development, and provide feedback.
